Around The Grange
July News from Greenfield Hill Grange No. 133

By Stephanie Thompson / Jim & Lori Golias

  JULY 14, 2023 --

Welcome Summer! The Pollinator Pathway was a great success. The event was well received by all that attended. Our engaging speakers were very knowledgeable. The topic: planting a pollinator garden and the awareness of the importance of all pollinators.

All our local nurseries -- also participants of the Pollinator Pathway -- were quite generous with donations of all kinds of plants that attract pollinators.

These plants were raffled off along with many other “themed “items. A delicious lunch was served, and there were items for sale also. A small container of Wildflower seeds and a decorated card with helpful hints about the principles of pollinating were given to all in attendance as a thank you from the Grange.

Our Annual Agricultural Fair will be held on Aug. 26, from 10-3. We will be hosting a Lobster Fest on Sept. 9. Our Pumpkin, Mum, Bulb and Bake Sale will be held on Sept. 23. Happy growing and hope to see you at the Grange!
