| JULY 17 2023 -- On Thurs., July 20, Hillstown Grange is having a special Garden Talk “All About Cannabis/Hemp Growing”. We are going to cover the laws governing Cannabis/Hemp. Also, some of the how to grow this complicated plant, there is so much to learn.
Hemp was once the prime agricultural product in New England where it was used for rope and sails for sailing ships. Our modern weighing systems were developed to weigh loads of hemp on wagon scales.
The Garden Talk will start at its usual time from 7 to 8:30 and will take place at Hillstown Grange Hall, 617 Hills Street, East Hartford. So come on down. We will also be going virtually via Zoom. Either way bring your questions, ideas for workshops and presentations or quite possibly community outreach projects that might make your neighborhood a little healthier and much friendlier. Refreshments will be available.
