By Kathryn Ruff

  APRIL 3, 2023 --

Apr. 6:   Easter Bunny - 7:30 at Masonic Hall, So. Glastonbury

May 1: Bakeless/Foodless Sale

May 4: Memorial Day - 7:30 p.m.

Glastonbury Grange is happy to report that we are back meeting at the Masonic Hall, 895 Main Street, South Glastonbury. Spring is finally here. We will meet April 6th at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be prepared by Marycharles Howe and Kay Ruff.

We will sadly be Draping the Charter in loving memory of Brother Mario Accornero who passed away January 22nd at his home at the age of 96. He certainly is missed by all.

Back at our February meeting we voted to collect non-perishable food items to be donated to the Glastonbury Social Service Department. A check for $100.00 was sent and now that we are meeting at the hall we will be collecting donations by the members and they will be delivered to the Social Service office. We also voted to support “Protectors of Animals”. We sent them $100.00 and will collect food and bedding for dog and cats at our April meeting and they will be delivered to their location on Main Street, East Hartford.

May 1st Our Semi-Annual Bakeless/Foodless Sale will begin. Members can send in their contribution any time in early May to the Secretary, Kay Ruff, P.O. Box 192, Pomfret Center, Ct. 06259. May 4th is our “Memorial Day” program.  Refreshments by Dan and Ann Posuniak.

May 13th We will be holding a “Book Sale”. This will be held at the Tag Sale that is being held at Hemlock Grange Hall, 17 Sage Hollow Road, Portland. Stop by and visit the Tag Sale and you will find us in the Grange Hall.
