November News from Nutmeg Pomona No. 16

By Joanne Cipriano

  November 15, 2022 --

Nutmeg Pomona was saddened hearing the news that Wallingford Grange surrendered their Charter. It must have been a hard decision especially for those who had been members for many years. We hope the members will relocate. It is hard to lose a Grange but even worst to lose good members. Our best to you all.

On a happier note – Nutmeg Pomona met at Beacon Valley Grange on October 2nd. A beautiful day for traveling, a well-run meeting, Installation of Officers by Roy and Betty Jane Harrington, a large Country Store and delicious refreshments. The only thing that could have made it better was a larger attendance.

The Pomona voted to donate

$500.00 to each Grange in Nutmeg Pomona to help with heating expenses.

Sunday December 4th is our next meeting and Christmas Party at Cheshire Grange at 2 o’clock. Lecturer Robert Charbonneau will present his first program. We will have a $5.00 Grab bag for those who would like to participate and a Christmas Country Store. Refreshments are in charge of Cheshire and Hemlock Granges. With two Granges in charge, we should have double the enjoyment.

Why not plan to attend and represent your Grange. I will be there – will you?
