May 1, 2022 -- With Summer right around the corner our gardens will be planted soon. It’s time to get busy! Does your Grange meet only once a month? Maybe you could consider a second meeting just for fun. You can pick a craft that involves a skill set of your Grange members, just ask! It’s amazing what you can do with crafts that don’t cost too much. It can be making an ornament, Decoupage a plant holder or a perhaps do a sewing circle. Make a felt gar- land or even a create seed paper. If you wonder what seed paper is, you cut shapes out and place the seeds onto it. Then you can use them as gift tags and people can then plant them. Anything you can think of. You can email me and I can let you know how some of these things are done. Or just google crafts and it’s amazing what you can find.
Then why not donate them to the New England Grange Building. Have you ever wondered what your donations are used for? This year they are in process of getting a new roof for the building which is quite expensive. I’m sure that you will agree it’s a worthy cause!
I was asked to do the crafts this year at the NEGB. I am honored and accepted the position. Stay tuned for more information as I will be announcing a date in July to go up to the Grange building for the afternoon. We will be bringing out all the items not sold last year and go thru them to be sure they are in good shape, remark as needed. We will do some light housekeeping on the stage to keep everything sorted and clean. Please consider volunteering and join in the fun while you see people whom you may not have seen in a while. Once that is done, we will assess when we should do a second round closer to the opening of the Expo. I hope to see some of you volunteer!
