November 1, 2021 -- Let’s start the Grange year off on a positive note by getting new members to join us and start to plan our fundraisers for the coming year. After almost two years of restrictions on what our Granges can do and can’t do it is time to open up and go forth to make our Granges stronger for the future. The Connecticut State Grange Membership Committee is here to help in any way they can. Just let Faith know. All of our Granges should shoot for a net gain in members this year.
The Membership Committee is working with a group of Redding residents to reorganize Redding Grange. They are scheduled to take the Welcome Ceremony and elect officers at the beginning of this month. Elizabeth Jensen, a resident of Redding, has been working seven months and getting members to join the new Redding Grange. Thank you for all your hard work in getting this Grange up and running.
With the new Grange year, it is time to fill out and send in your Executive Committee reports. Your Secretary and Treasurer, along with your Executive Committee, should be working to get this report completed and sent in. You can send the report to Peter Keefe or your State President.
By the time you are reading this report, State Session will be history. This report was written before State Session. I had one entry that qualified for Honor Grange this year and that was Riverton Grange No. 169. They qualified in the Silver Division. I will report more on State Session in my next report. Sharon and I would like to wish you a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
Time to spend with friends and family.
