| June 5, 2019 -- The year was 1938 and our local Grangers met to give their Lecturers a royal send-off to the New England Lecturer’s Conference. I’m sure todays’ vehicles are a lot more comfortable and make better time. That year the conference was held in Randolph Center, Vermont. This year it will be in Devens, Massachusetts, a lot closer than Randolph Center. Information on the Conference has been sent out to all Lecturers and to those who attended two years ago. Time is running out. The deadline for reservations is June 10th for the 2019 Northeast Grange Lecturers’ Conference. This will be a totally revised conference planned by the response we got on the questionnaires filled out after the last conference. I’m hoping you can make it.
With summer here it is time to start thinking about our Essay Contest, “A Word from Home,” and Should Auld Acquaintance. Has your Grange had a Ritual Program or 6 five minute ritual numbers this year? Our ritual is very beautiful and our newer members who did not go through the first four degrees shouldn’t miss out on this.
What do you think of your Grange? Why not enter the essay contest and tell everyone about it. It should be 150 words or less and entitled, “My Grange.”
Please remember, you don’t have to be a Lecturer to enter these contests.
