AUGUST 3, 2012 -- The Oregon State Grange recently elected Susan Noah, of Springfield, Ore., as the new Oregon State Grange Master/President. Susan, the former First Lady of Oregon State Grange, has served in many Subordinate and Pomona positions, including Master at each level, and has served as the Lady Assistant Steward, Lecturer and Secretary of the Oregon State Grange before being elected as Master.
Susan joined the Mohawk-McKenzie Grange in Lane County, Ore., at 14, where her parents were members. Today, she is still a member of that Grange. Susan was the first woman elected Master of the Lane Pomona Grange and only the second female State Grange Master in Oregon.
Susan has been an accountant in the lumber and building products industry for many years, most recently with Springfield Lumber Products. Susan and her husband, the immediate former Oregon State Grange Master Mark, have no children - except "all those Grange kids," Susan says - but the couple does have a 3-year-old Gordon Setter, Bailey, who rules the house. Susan's hobbies, in addition to Grange, are cruising, kayaking, camping, reading and shopping. |
