APRIL 8, 2012 -- April has been declared Grange Month by National Grange President Ed Luttrell, with the 2012 theme: American Values, Hometown Roots. The celebration will continue throughout the month as Community Granges throughout the state will be opening their doors to the public for family-oriented events focused on the contributions of the Grange in their communities. Bowl your best game and support the teams at the “Bowl Across America” Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser sponsored by the Connecticut State Grange Youth and Junior Committees - April 21st, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at AMF Lanes, 748 Silver Lane, East Hartford. The cost is $10.00 per person which includes two games and shoe rental.
The Social Connection Committee has planned a State-wide Charitable Tag Sale Event for April 28th. Five Pomona Granges will be each hosting a Tag Sale from 9 AM - 2 PM, and the proceeds will be going to the American Liver Foundation.
The Connecticut State Grange welcomes National Grange President Ed Luttrell back to our state for a town hall style meeting on April 30th at Good Will Grange Hall, 43 Naubuc Avenue, Glastonbury, beginning at 7:30 PM.
