FEBRUARY 4, 2012 -- Executive Committee Reports are coming in fairly steady but there are still quite a few yet to be received. Please be sure to send in your report to me as soon as possible. A copy is also required for the Deputy on the night of Inspection.
Several reports have been submitted using VERY old forms. Unfortunately, if you are using the old forms, you are leaving vital information out of your report. For 2011 we, of course, will accept the form that was printed in the 2011 Blue Book. The newly updated form is available in the 2012 Blue Book that you should have already received (or will receive shortly). If you would like a 2011 form with the changes made for 2012, please contact me and I will be happy to provide that for you... (860) 626-0326 or GeneralDeputy@CTStateGrange.org.
I am excited to hear that Wolcott Grange is very close to being re-organized. This is the perfect illustration of the State Master's mantra about the "Power of One." The Grange Growth Team held an informational meeting last year to give the community the opportunity to learn more about the Grange. One person (besides the State Grange officers and members present) attended. That one person turned out to be the "sparkplug" that provided the forward momentum that brought us to where we are today with the possibility of a "new" Wolcott Grange. As the State Master says in this month's column, "Did you feel that?" I sure did!
I hope the coming months will find the Deputy Team busier than ever before working with new Grange members and Granges to spread the excitement and growth of the Grange across the state!... and as always, the Deputy Team is ever-ready to help Granges. All you have to do is ask. |
