DECEMBER 23, 2010 -- Jacqueline S. “Jackie” Capitani, 83, of Avon, wife of the late Paul Sirianni and the late Louis Capitani, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington.
Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Louis and Ella (Eukers) Prunier, she lived in Avon since 1956 where she had been a communicant of the Church of Saint Ann. Jackie was a broker and office administrator for Henry J. Bahre Real Estate of Canton for 38 years.
An active member, past president and past treasurer of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Prince Thomas of Savoy Society; she also was a member of the CAWASA Grange, and the Phoebe Humphrey Chapter DAR. She loved gardening, canning, and enjoyed her time with family and her many friends.
She leaves her daughter, Paula Sirianni McGuinn of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; her granddaughters, Caroline A. Keel and Lisa M. Keel; her great granddaughter, Mia Missimer; her brother, Donald Cosway and his wife Kathy of Newington; a sister, Joan Filkins of Meriden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Besides her parents and husbands, Paul and Louis, she was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Calkins and a brother, Richard Prunier. Jackie’s family would like to express their appreciation for the professional care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff at the UConn Health Center, especially Annette.
