Oct.  6:  Trick or Treat, Ref. Marycharles Howe & Kay Ruff

Nov. 3: Thank a Veteran. Ref. Doris Monaco & Priscilla Schmartz

At a recent meeting, Overseer Tom Breen presented Brother Peter Hunt with his 25 Year Certificate. It was really nice to see Peter as we had not seen him in several months. On Sept. 10th we held a “Used Book Sale” with the Tag Sale that was held by Hemlock Grange. It was a success and we are looking forward to doing this again next spring.

A reminder to our members: We are supporting “Carol’s Closet.” It is held at St. James Episcopal Church, 2584 Main St., South Glastonbury. Carol’s Closet is a paper pantry providing paper and personal products to Glastonbury residents only. Our members are asked to bring in donations to this cause and Ann and Dan Posuniak will deliver them to the church.

We will be holding a “school of instruction” rehearsal prior to our next meeting which is October 6th. We will meet at 6:45 P.M. to go over Grange procedures for the benefit of some new officers and a benefit for all. At 7:30 P.M. we will hold our regular monthly meeting and the program is “Trick or Treat.”

I have noticed during the past week that the trees are turning from green to orange, yellow and red. Fall temperatures have arrived and that surely feels good. Glastonbury Grange wishes all a very “Happy Halloween.”
