May 27: Memorial Program

We are sad to report we have lost yet another member of our Grange family. Kevin McBride has passed to the Great Grange Above.

On March 11 we had a lively Jeopardy game on Ritual that was won by Mile Riley due to a judicious wager in Final Jeopardy. On the 27th Sue’s State Contest program was put off to a later meeting due to many absences that evening.

In May we will again host the beginning of the Memorial Day Parade, sadly absent from our town for the last two years due to COVID. The North Stonington Education Foundation will hold another “drive- in movie” on the grounds on May 21 and their 5K Race returns on May

The Foundation raises money to help support program in the local schools. We are happy to donate our grounds for their good works.

Our Lecturer/Pianist and our Secretary traveled to Hemlock Grange on April 2 to help out with the Degree Day, and enjoyed the delicious lunch provided by Eastern Connecticut Pomona. And if those nasty raccoons that departed with our very expensive suet feeder would just kindly return it, next time we’ll tell you all about awesome April.
