Oct. 8: Installation of Officers

Oct. 29: Halloween Party

It seems we can’t go a meeting without draping our charter. Another Golden Sheaf member has joined the Great Grange Above. Richard Chapman passed away on July 30. He will be sadly missed.

At our first meeting in August, temperatures drove us downstairs for the program; a trivia game that ended in a tie. However, our second meeting was held upstairs in cool comfort thanks to our wonderful, new air conditioning system. Jeff Barnes did all the research that resulted in this much-needed improvement to our hall. The men had the program that evening. Robert kept us laughing with his riddles. Charlie gave us a very interesting talk on the origin of the mystery novel and Jeff topped off the evening with his hilarious half and half skit.

Please note the change in our October  programs.  Installation has been changed from September to October. Our Halloween party has been changed from the fourth Friday to the fifth due to the fact that State Session conflicts with our scheduled meeting. Please come in costume. Prizes for costumes for all ages and games for the youngsters. And if these hurricanes that keep dropping trees on my road will just go out to sea, next time I’ll tell you about sweet September.
