Around The Grange
Jan 2021 News from Oxford Grange No. 194

By Robert Buck

  January 3, 2021 --

Although Oxford Grange would normally meet on the 6th and 20th of the month, limitations on meeting sizes and the unwillingness of a majority of members to meet in person have made it necessary to call off in-person meetings until further notice. The secretary will work to set up capability to meet by the Zoom app in the interim. The meeting times will remain as before: first and third Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM.   This way we can stay in touch and cover necessary business. The secretary and treasurer have been in contact to keep all bills current. Before the COVID-19 situation made fund-raising events unfeasible, we held two events in the fall which will provide some financial security for the winter months and care of the hall. One of these was a musical program back in October incorrectly attributed in the previous Granger to GOMAD while in fact it was put together by Dan and Kathy Golias and their musician friends. Some of the GO- MAD group was in attendance. We thank the Goliases and all their friends for a wonderful afternoon of musical entertainment that raised over $800 for the Grange. We will look forward to again being able to meet in person in the hall safely - hopefully by spring.
