NOVEMBER 13, 2020 -- Higganum Grange continues to successfully cope and deal with the “times”. When we could not have meetings our Secretary kept us informed regarding matters of local concern and our monthly editions of the “Connecticut Granger” kept us abreast of state matters and issues. We conducted business matters by telephone as needed. A vote to accept a new member, who wished to join us, was passed. A formal induction remains for future action. We are up-to-date regarding our building’s maintenance and our financial matters. Actual meetings in our hall were begun in September, with 100% attention to following all “virus” safety requirements.
In June we had our annual outdoor picnic. It was well attended and provided a great chance to see one another in person. State session will be attended by one of our members. All-in-all our Grange, like all others in the state, has made it through a very trying time. There looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We’ll be ready to pick up where we left off as an active participant in our Grange and town activities. Our meetings, in the Grange Hall in Higganum Center, are still the first Friday of each month at 7:30 PM. Stay Safe! |
