NOVEMBER 2, 2020 -- On September 17th we held our first in person meeting since March 4th. We met in our upper hall with masks and proper distancing. We did not have refreshments. We had eleven members. The meeting went well although six of our officers were not comfortable to be meeting inside. At the meeting, we draped our charter remembering our long standing Grange member, Phyllis Beard. We voted to hold monthly meeting for now on the first Wednesday of the month. In an effort to participate in a community activity, we entered a scarecrow contest sponsored by the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce. We are one of 68 entries. It was fun putting the display together. At this point, Cheshire abounds with scarecrows. We were represented at the one day virtual Connecticut State Grange Annual Session on October 17th.
We delivered towels, wash cloths and food to our local animal shelter, and our CWA held a bakeless bake sale in place of our susual country store.
