September 10, 2020 -- Hope all are staying safe, wearing masks and practicing social distancing. It’s been a very desponding time in our lives and times but we must thank the good Lord for our health. Hoping your gardens are yielding a full harvest of goodies.
We had our first meeting in July since our last one in February. Surprisingly, we had a good turnout. We picked a date for our 2021 agricultural fair. It will be August 28, 2021 from 10 to 3. We also chose our delegates for the 2020 annual Connecticut state grange session. Geno and Karen.
Two of our younger members Jennifer Damon and Lori Golias are going to try something new: drive-in movie night at the Greenfield Hill Grange. Our first film, weather permitting, will be August 8 at 8:30 PM. A great night out and still able to maintain social distancing, we hope this will de a success and added to our repertoire of fun functions.
We are also hoping to host our end of Summer Lobster Fest, September 12th. Smaller tables distanced apart is In the plan, along with Lobster, Baked Potato, Corn in the Cob and all the fixins.
Stay cool, stat safe, God Bless and Happy Trails. |
