September 2020 News from N. Stonington Community Grange No. 138

  September 7, 2020 --

Sept. 11: No Installation of Officers- all same office - so “A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That”

Sept. 25: Savor Small Moments

Our July meeting was a joyous one. It was so good to get back to meeting in person and meeting with old friends we had not seen in months. Steward, Jeff Barnes, had made sure there was a six-foot space between each station and we all wore masks. Even though it seemed a little strange at first, the joy of companionship soon overcame the uneasiness. Sue held a memorial program for lost members and those in the service and we draped our charter in loving memory of our dear Pomona who passed away in May.  We look forward to continue meeting in person.  The hall may be warm in these summer months, but the companionship and friendship of the Brothers and Sisters makes it quite bearable.

We sent get well wishes to LAS Flo Mullane, who has had a recent hospital stay and Paul Ames, our faithful electrician, who is happily feeling much less pain in his new hip. And if that dratted hurricane that is putting us in his sights will just head out to sea, next time we will tell you about awesome August.
