November 9, 2019 -- The weather is quickly turning again towards winter and the Grange hall is just about buttoned up with a new coat of siding on the Post Office end of the building. The contractor took the extra step to triple nail the siding onto the building to prevent a repeat of the damaged caused by the howling Winchester winds last winter.
Our Oct. 22 meeting was our Annual Music Night and it was another amazing evening of beautiful music coordinated and, in many cases, performed by our Pianist Mary Lou Keefe. The Cherry Brook Chimes performed with a host of guest performances. Winchester Grange has always been spoiled with the plethora of musical members in our ranks. All of the music was amazing but if you missed the performance of “Whiter Shade of Pale” performed on piano and organ, you missed A LOT!
Our Lecturer, Ramona Fassio, has been sick for several weeks so we have relied on many members to pitch in to ensure our events go on without a hitch. This was the case with Winchester Center Day when several members were unable to be there and others stepped up and helped to bring in a great profit on the day.
As of this writing, our annual Super Prize Party is one week away. This is another event spearheaded by Ramona and several members have come forward to help make it happen. Again, thank you all for your dedication to Winchester Grange!
