Oct. 19: Our first Monte-Carlo Whist card party at 7:00 p.m. They will run the 3rd Saturday of each month through June 2020.
Our Nov. 7th meeting is 7:30 and the program is “Thanksgiving Traditions”
Several of our members were on the “sick” list at our September meeting. I sure hope all are improving and will be with us in October.
The Glastonbury Historical Society will be featuring Glastonbury Grange on November 3rd. The days event will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Masonic Hall. Gardiners Market is preparing a catered buffet dinner, featuring baked ham, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, tossed salad, rolls butter and assorted cookies and beverage. The dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. The evenings events will be by reservation only. You can make your reservation by calling the Historical Society of Glastonbury at 860-633-4572 and then forwarded the check to them for $25.00 a person to 972 Main St., South Glastonbury 06073 Dr. Brian Chieffer, from the Historical Society is heading the event. He has located old videos of the fairs and the construction of the Glastonbury Grange Pool and is reconfiguring them to use in today’s equipment for all to view during or following the dinner. We are locating old pictures and ribbons etc. of the old fairs and building of the pool to put around the hall for all to view. The hall holds 80 people So call now and make your reservation. Grange members come first, the Historical Society and then the public We figure the program will wrap up around 7:30 p.m. It should be a pleasant and fun evening.
