June 7: Norwich Grange brings Program to Vernon Grange, Refreshments: All

June 12: Vernon Grange brings Program to Norwich Grange Vernon Grange has draped our charter for members who have received that plaudit, ”Well done, good and faithful servant”.

At our May meeting, we learned the history and basics of the GPS system and geocaching. Then, flashlights and GPS devices in hand, we trudged outside to find our first cache. That geocache is pending approval from Geocaching Headquarters in Seattle prior to publication. While that publication is pending, why not try your hand at finding geocaches in your area or as you travel? It’s a worldwide outdoor and family friendly activity that requires only a sense of adventure, a GPS enabled device and a pencil. Details are at geocaching.com.

Speaking of great finds, come on over to the Vernon Grange table at the Strong Family Farm Big Bad Barn Sale on June 22 from 9AM to 1PM (rain date June 29). We are sure to have exactly what you are looking for at the best prices anywhere!

We continue to collect toiletries and non-perishable food items for the veterans at Phelps Village in Rockville and plans are underway for us to host a BBQ there.

We hope to see you in Vernon. We welcome visitors!
