JANUARY 11, 2019 --
Thanks to Verna Cole for Chairing the most successful supper in the 120 years our Grange has existed! Our Turkey Supper satisfied the appetites of nearly 400 hungry folks and our Grange was proud to gift slightly over $5,000.00 to the Sharpe family towards non-insurance expenses ongoing as Lillian Sharpe bravely battles Leukemia.
Our Christmas Bazaar was a great financial success; great food in the Grange kitchen and lots of wonderful vendors made for a very satisfying day! Many from Ekonk participated in part or all of National Grange session. Link Cooper accepted our 7th annual Distinguished Grange Award at National.
The Cameron family worked diligently throughout National Grange and we are sure they breathed great sighs of relief when Saturday night of session ended. J. Allen Cameron did an exceptional program in December, educating us on GMO’s and answering numerous questions.
January 25th will be our annual Ekonk Junior & Subordinate Grange Game Night, beginning at 6:00 p.m. February 15th, our Juniors will have lots of fun at their annual Fun Night, which begins at 6:00 p.m. Then in March, our suppers begin once again, with corned beef and cabbage March 16th! Visit us any first Monday at 7:30 p.m. or our Juniors any first Friday at 6:00 p.m. Abbey Dexter, Junior Vice President, has stepped up to the plate graciously filling in for her dear friend and Junior Grange President, Lillian Sharpe. Great job, Abbey! |
