JANUARY 20, 2019 --
Our Craft Nights were a success! Fun and productive, we made holiday decorations for two local nursing homes. Our December meeting was festive and fun, with the singing of Christmas carols, learning their background, then our “Wacky gift exchange”. The gifts were certainly wacky, and brought many laughs. We let our Grangers, both near and far, know we are thinking of them even though they cannot make it to meetings by sending Christmas cards to them.
January’s Lecturer’s topic will be ‘New Year, New You’. We will also have a Craft Night to assemble towel and soap sets for Valentine’s Day gifts for formerly homeless veterans who are now living in Chrysalis House in Vernon and Stafford.
We are collecting donations of new, unused bath towels for this project.
Happy Chinese New Year in February. We will celebrate The Year Of The Pig with a surprise guest speaker!
We welcome visitors. Our meeting place is handicap accessible but in this season of snow and ice, please check to be sure our meeting is as scheduled.
Happy New Year from Vernon Grange.
