Around The Grange
May 2018 News from North Stonington Community Grange

By Nancy R. Weissmuller

  May 23, 2018 --

May 11: “All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy”

May 25: “We should feel sorrow, but not sink under its oppression”

We have too many officers on the “disabled” list and would like to wish them a speedy recovery and sincerely hope they will be back with us soon.

At our March 9 meeting we reviewed our knowledge of ritual and found it to be a bit rusty. On the 23rd Sue presented her State program, and it looks like another winner to us. We were happy to welcome Kathy Tefft, Master of Lyme Grange, to our meeting. Kathy ably filled in, not only as Chaplain, but as our “Little Old Lady, North Stonington Granger” as Ellie (the real “terror of Northwest Corner Boulevard”) was unable to make the meeting. It was an enjoyable evening.

Members of the Fair committee have been hard at work putting in new water lines on the grounds. Before you know it, it will be Fair time! (July 12-15). Hope to see you there.

Our May 11 meeting is a surprise. May 25 is the evening we remember Grangers who have joined the Great Grange Above. And if those poor little peepers don’t get frozen in again, next time I’ll tell you all about awesome April.
