Around The Grange
December News from Lyme Grange No. 147

By Lois Evankow

  December 27, 2017 --

Jan. 4: Our Favorite Hobbies

Feb. 1: Every dog has his day. Woof!

Mar. 1: Lion or Lamb. The CWA contests for 2018 announced.

You can tell we live in New England, 30 degrees one day and 75 degrees the next.

We’re off to a fantastic start with five new members this fall. Three of them are teenagers and 2 of them, Olivia Eastman and Riley Tefft, received the Sixth Degree at State Session in October.

Congratulations to Norman Stitham for being honored at State Session as Granger of the Year. He is very special, making posters, collecting items for animal shelters, writing a quarterly newsletter, to name a few.

Amy Winninger collates our Community Service. She does such a fine job presenting it. We won third prize due to her hard work.

Christmas cards were passed out for all of us to write a note to a service person. These will be forwarded to Frank Forest as we will tuck them in packages sent in December along with homemade cookies.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all along with a Happy New Year!
