May 4: Visitors –Invite your equal

May 20: Food and Plant Sale

June 1: Come & See – the polls are open – Election

It is with a heavy heart I must report the passing of our beloved and long-time Secretary, Marita Rand. She has been our secretary since 1980 and has been the chairperson for the vegetable department at our Hamburg Fair. She will be missed.

Spring has sprung. The calendar does not say so. Check the snow drops are in full bloom and daffodils are up about 8 inches. I hope the weather man will not send us anymore snow. At our March meeting it was reported many, many hours of community service by several people. Some submitted photos.

We are collecting old towels and blankets for a rescue animal shelter.

Our food and plant sale will be the same day as the church rummage sale on May 20. We do very well due to the heavy traffic of people attending the rummage sale. It is a good money maker as there are no expenses and we keep all the profits.

Food donations need to be brought ready to sell as the church uses our building for their sale.

Hope everyone will have a nice Easter and the weatherman does not send us a surprise snow storm like he did many years ago.
