April 10, 2017 -- A hardy crew braved freezing temperatures and gusty winds to attend our first Pomona meeting at Ekonk Grange; but the warm welcome, cozy hall and delicious refreshments made it worth the trip. Although judging is only at State, we were treated to a lovely piano piece by Sue Pianka and George decided to take a vacation in our Literary program. Jody Cameron updated us on the status of Pomona redistricting after spending hours over a hot stove preparing pies for the refreshment table. (But Jaime’s creamy creation took the honors with some of us.). We voted to give two camperships to Camp Berger; so if you have children or grandchildren who would like to attend, contact Debbie or Mary. Needlework judging will be held at Norwich Grange June 3 at 1:00.
At last it is spring, you beautiful thing,
I think I can take the spring showers.
Because I will know that there’ll be no more snow.
And soon we’ll be seeing the flowers. |
