April News from Glastonbury Grange

  April 7, 2017 --

Apr. 6: Hopping into Spring, Skit Night, CWA Baking Contest

Apr. 8: Monte Carlo Whist Card Party, 7 P.M.

The CWA Baking Contest this year is “Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies.” It is a good tasting cookie. I have tried the recipe and will make it again. If you decide to enter the contest bring your plate (7 cookies on a plate) to the Apr. 6 meeting. Sister Posuniak would be happy to see plenty of entries that evening. For a copy of the recipe contact Sister Ann Posuniak.

Apr. 6 is also the skit night. The May 7th meeting of Pomona is “Open Mic Night”. Our entry on April 6 will then be brought to the May 7 meeting in Pomona and compete with the other entries from the other Subordinate Granges in our Pomona.

Hope to see you at the Apr. 8 card party at 7 P.M. Your support will be most welcome. Remind your neighbors that the card party is open to the public.

An early reminder that May 6 is our Semi-Annual Bakeless/Foodless Sale. Your donation can be mailed to the Grange Secretary, Kathryn Ruff, P.O. Box 192, Pomfret Center, CT 06259.

“Happy Spring to All.”
