On January 14th we held our 5th Annual Barn Dance & Chili Supper the turnout wasn’t as planned due to the snowy weather but all whom came had a great time “lighting up the winter’s night”. On February 7th we held our annual Valentine’s Celebration with a “Souper Supper” of homemade Minestrone Soup, Salad, Bread topped off with Brownies & Ice Cream. Thanks Julia for hosting this event. With great sadness and heavy heart that evening we draped the Charter for our faithful Brother Teddy Coley whom passed away at the end of 2016. Our friend, whose family donated the land the Norfield Grange sits on, will be missed by all. February was a very busy month for our Grange - Mondays were Newbies Workshops for the BackYard BeeKeepers Association; Tuesday afternoons filled the Grange with kids laughter for an ongoing after-school program that runs through May; Wednesdays the Rockin’ Roosters (every week ‘til the end of the year) host a Square Dance with a fee of $5/person and $10/family, and Thursdays a local artisan Suzan Diaz taught “Introduction to Traditional Hand Caning Relax, Enjoy Weave...”. Please mark your calendars for the 6th Annual Grange Tag Sale on June 2, 3 & 4... if you’d like to be a Vendor feel free to contact the Grange to rent a space or shop (Proceeds go towards the Grange Scholarship/ Campership Funds). |
