By this reading, National Grange officers and State Masters will have come and gone from Ekonk Community Grange and we were indeed humbled to welcome them for their Feb. 17th-19th meetings. Special thanks to Richmond Grange in RI for their assistance!
Our program director has taken us to Uzbekistan and Russia via member Sue Griffiths who did an awesome lecture plus showed, among numerous other treasures, several “Nesting Dolls”. Then last meeting members were inspired by Anne Blodgett, Founder and President of Anajali Ministries. Anne lives in Scotland, CT, but many, many weeks out of each year, she teaches in Kibera Slum, Nairobi, Kenya, where in addition to teaching, she brings the children hope for brighter futures through education..
When you read this, youth Ekonk Granger (oldest son of our Vice President Ned) Colin Sebastian, will be teaching English in Korea for a full year! We all wish him well in this exciting adventure and God speed as he continues his life’s journey! It has been great having Colin and Christopher Sebastian back with us for visits. Chris is now back at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and very proud to be a Granger!
Our Grange is bustling with activity and our Junior Grange keeps us all young at heart. Why not plan a visit! |
