Around The Grange
January News from Lyme Grange

By Lois Evankow

  January 25, 2017 --

Feb. 2: Groundhog Day. Will he see his shadow? Heroes and hearts and other fables.

Mar. 2: CWA- Kitchen Queen and Kings

Apr. 6: Inspection – What will the Deputy observe?

Our certificate night was a success despite the terrible accident in Old Lyme and on I-95 being shut down all day.

Norman Stitham, our wiz on the computer, made a fabulous program which was given out to everyone. He also designed a huge cake with the Grange emblem on it. Sue Pianka, despite the traffic jam managed to come and tickled the ivories for us. What a treat! Many Christmas carols were sung.

Unfortunately, we draped our charter for Ron Purinton who passed away in November. He was a 55 year member. He will be sadly missed.

We are looking forward to the new year and hopefully the man upstairs will send us good weather so we will be able to have all of our meetings.

Happy New Year!
