November News from Prospect Grange

Prospect Grange is proud to announce we won second place in the CT State Grange Community Service Contest racking up just over 6,000 community service hours and was presented with a place from the State and National Grange. We were also recognized for our Rest Home visits for 2016. Great job everyone. Our Lecturer and Youth Committee Chairperson also received an award for her complete program and Youth Committee reports.

Great work everyone.

Bags of fresh vegetables were donated to Senior Center to use for lunchfest 2016 fall.

Prospect Grange donated a total of $200 of G Notes to the Connecticut State Grange in 2016.

Prospect Grange delivered pots of mums to shut-ins with a card, “Happy Fall 2016.” One of our shut ins thanking Prospect Grange members Tina Meehan and Jean Meehan for the pot of yellow mums, Fall 2016.

Pat Sallstrom taught Prospect Grange members how to make greeting cards at their Oct. 2016 meeting. One Birthday card and one Christmas card was made by 15 members.

Prospect Grange had a table at the 2016 Pumpkin Festival giving out dictionaries, and a free raffle for bicycle helmets and free candy. A total of 7 members helped with the booth.
