November 8, 2016 -- Nov. 11: “Old Soldiers Never Die, They Simply Fade Away”
Nov. 25: No Meeting – Happy Thanksgiving
The Barnes/Cameron Team installed our officers in an impressive ceremony on September 9. T hen on Sept. 23 we learned a great deal about osprey tracking when Genevieve Nuttall from Osprey Nation presented a Powerpoint program on the subject followed by a question and answer session. Genevieve is a student at UConn and is majoring in conservation/ biology.
Our November program is tentatively set to present Mark Adams, a WWII re-enactor and President of the Iwo Jima Memorial in New Britain. Mark will speak about the war and show us some WWII gear.
Make sure you mark December 16 on your calendar. That is the night we will carol around town and deliver fruit baskets. After we sing we will visit a local restaurant for pizza. We leave the Grange at 6:30 P.M. Call the Lecturer or Secretary if you are interested in participating.
Dues are due. You will receive a copy of this year’s programs with your dues receipt. And if those deer will just stop nibbling on my hosts, next time I’ll tell you about old October. |
