Oct. 7: Meeting, Preparation for Riverton Fair Dinners

Nov. 4: Meeting; Program: Grateful for My Grange Friends; Ref.: Cindy & Mark Prelli

As you will note in the handbook, our Grange is meeting once a month unless otherwise noted. After the meeting on Oct. 7, we will be busy preparing for the turkey dinners on Saturday and ham dinners on Sunday during the Riverton Fair days.

In August we had a very successful fair with over 200 entries that included fruits & vegetables, flowers, sewing & crafts, baked & canned goods and photography. I wish to thank everyone for their ideas and cooperation. We had excellent displays about bees and trees; Raine Anstett, a bee keeper, brought along her bee protective attire and John Krish provided a display featuring trees. A luncheon was also available with our Master, Sue Belle-Isle, in charge (please note that Sue is not a cook).

We would like to see more of our members at our meetings. There are several projects going on, in addition to the dinners. The roof on our very old building is being replaced this fall. Also, the porch is being stabilized and painted. Thanks to our executive committee for taking care of these repairs.
