AUGUST 5, 2016 -- The 34th annual Ekonk Community Grange Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 13 on the grounds and inside the hall of the Ekonk Community Grange 89, 723 Ekonk Hill Road, Sterling.
The entry day for the festival is from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug.12. All ages can bring entries in domestic manufacture, crafts, art, photography, vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs, baked goods, canned items and collections. An entry fee will be changed.
Oneco Postmaster Maurice Bessette will set up an Ekonk Post Office station at the fair. The Sterling Historical Society will sell envelopes featuring the historical former Ekonk Post Office, horses and an old wagon.
The festival will host a free duct tape station all day, where children can create and take home their own creations. Animal Experiences will perform beginning at 1 p.m. The grange kitchen will offer hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, corn chowder, clam cakes, ice cream and beverages. |
