SEPTEMBER 6, 2015 -- The first meeting of September has been omitted as we do not have candidates this time around. There are three scheduled meeting dates this month, however, and the Sept. 15 Installation of Officers will be conducted by the Barnes/Cameron Team as scheduled. The fourth Tuesday, Sept. 29 has been changed to a regular meeting.
Winchester Grange is participating in the annual Winchester Center Day celebrations again this year. Doing things a little differently, the Grange hall will feature art exhibits open to all area artists. The Grange will also offer craft vendors, apple crisp and a hot dog/lunch stand. Also new this year will be a Passport Scavenger Hunt for kids. Any child wishing to participate will be given a passport which will guide them towards finding specific items at the Church, Grange Hall, Fire Dept., Historical Association and the Winchester Center green. The Fire Department will over displays of their equipment along with a foam demonstration. The historical association will feature a blacksmithing demonstration and the church will have a car show and snack bar. It should be a wonderful early fall day in the beautiful Litchfield Hills. Please join us. As always, admission is free and parking is also free.
Looking ahead, Wincheser Grange again will sponsor Iceland Affair at the Grange Hall and on the Green on Saturday, Oct. 17. This will be the third year this unique event will be held in Winchester Center. For more info, please watch the Granger or visit www.winchestergrange.org.
