AUGUST 9, 2015 -- In June, Harmony held its Annual Spring Boutique, which included the sale of baked goods, jewelry, and household items (many of which were donated by Barbara Standley). Maggie Buck from the State Grange Membership Committee set up a table with info regarding the Grange, in hopes of increasing our membership.
At our June meeting, Worthy Deputy Geno Piacentini, assisted by his wife Karen Macdonald, conducted our Annual Inspection. Marge Sendewicz and Marie & Kevin Parker filled in as officers and Joan Ziegler was our pianist.
In July, Harmony Grange’s President George Ward and his wife Gloria had an enjoyable visit with 70 year plus Granger, Gertrude Wilson, who is a resident of Lord Chamberlain Nursing & Rehab Facility in Stratford.
HG’s annual Agriculture Fair is scheduled for August 15th from 9 A.M. – 4 P.M. on the Grange premises. Food items (including pulled pork) and drinks will be for sale and our judging will include vegetables, plants, jellies, jams and needlework, etc. A membership table will be set up and farm equipment and several local groups will have their products displayed. As always, we welcome vendors.
Plans are progressing for HG’s 125th Anniversary, with its date, time and events to be announced. |
