AUGUST 14, 2015 -- Celebrate the Cannon Grange’s 83rd Annual Agricultural Fair on Sunday, August 30 at the Grange Hall grounds, 25 Cannon Road, Wilton, Conn., 10am-4pm, rain or shine. Admission per person is $2.00 or $1.00 with a canned food item for donation to the Wilton Interfaith Food Pantry. Free parking is available across the street at the Cannondale Railroad Station and Village.
Adults and children alike are invited to participate in the competition for the best home-produced and -raised items: baked goods and spirits; fruits, vegetables and flowers; artwork, crafts and needlework; and rabbits, poultry and eggs. Raise chickens that lay the best eggs? Make your own wine, bake great cookies, or have a child that created an incredible Lego sculpture? A baked-goods sale, a food court and select concessionaires, civic and educational exhibitions, a watermelon-eating contest sponsored by the Kirchof Family, and performances by local musicians will round out the day. Exhibited baked goods, fruits, vegetables, and flowers will be auctioned at 4:15pm in the Grange Hall.
