Around The Grange
North Stonington Comm. Grange News for May

By Nancy Weissmuller

  MAY 5, 2015 --

At our first meeting in March we worked on our ritual skills- and found out we really needed the practice.  We also played Pictionary with Irish words.  Did you ever try to draw a picture of “limerick”?  On March 27th Sue presented her State Lecturer’s program, “What’s Cookin’ in the Grange?” and everyone really had a great time.  Daughter, Jennie Watrous, was there to give Sue a break on the ivories.  We think Sue has another winner.

At our May 8th program we will meet Joe Sanda, “The Racoon Whisperer.”  Joe is a presenter with the Stonington Wildlife Sanctuary.  We wish he could teach us how to whisper away the two raccoons that keep stealing the suet from our bird feeders!  And if the bulbs that are just daring to pop their head through the ground will just not get covered by another blanket of white stuff, next time I’ll tell you all about awesome April.

May 8:  “Amazing”

May 22:  “Bewilderment”
