APRIL 1, 2015 -- Hello Grangers,
As I write this message it is snowing AGAIN, I’m sure that I’m not alone when I say I’ve had it with Winter. Hal Borlan is known for his quote: ”No Winter lasts forever; No Spring skips its turn”, I do want to believe Mr. Borlan.
I am looking at my gardening newletter & seed catalogs for signs that Spring will arrive. It is difficult to believe that our local Daffodil Fest will be next month.
I would like to remind our fellow Grangers that the Meriden Grange is having a Teddy Bear Drive to benefit S.A.F.E. We are collecting new or gently used teddies and other stuffed animals for an organization who gives the animals to first responders for children at risk. Please no batteries, rips, stains, or smells. We will be celebrating our Anniversary this month & would like to have the bears by March 27th.
As March returns so do our suppers, please check our Facebook page for dates & menu. As always our dinner is all you care to eat, so come hungry. Please include our Grange member Diane Clark in your thoughts & prayers as she has some medical concerns at this time. |
