MARCH 4, 2015 --
We have been immersed in helping two specific families that needed a "hand up". What a wonderful feeling it is to help those who are so grateful for gifts of food and non-perishables. It is amazing what folks will donate when a need arises! We hosted Pomona in February-small crowd due mainly to winter/snow conditions! Todd Gelineau was a welcome special guest!
We draped our charter for Sister Dorothy Miller, age 103! This lady was a frequent winner in the former National Grange Sewing Contest. She gave up driving at 101 and died in her own home. We voted to donate scholastic books to every 2nd grade student at Sterling Community School during March Dr. Seuss Week.
Our youth enjoyed snow tubing in RI. They are also playing volleyball weekly in the Sterling Municipal Building Gymnasium. We were delighted to hear from former Granger, Sydney Cumbest, who moved to Pascagoula, MS. She sent us a letter and a donation of $50.00.
Again, we always welcome visitors--any first Monday at 7:30 p.m.
