Glastonbury Grange News for March

By Kay Ruff

  MARCH 2, 2015 --

Glastonbury had a very nice meeting in January .  Sister Priscilla Schmartz was recognized and presented her 1st place ribbon for her needlepoint entry in the Needlework Contest last fall.,and she also received the Best of Show Ribbon.  Her entry is just beautiful.  The ribbons were presented to be State Master, Noel Miller and Pomona Master Gordon Gibson.   We were also happy to have with us, Sister Edith Schoell and Ruth Herbele.  Sister Schoell offered her musical

talent for us.  Granges that are fortunate to have a pianist are very fortunate.

As I am preparing this article we are expecting to receive the Blizzard tomorrow, Jan. 27 into Wednesday, Jan. 28th.   I sure hope they are wrong,  but probably will not be.  Hope to see some of you at our March 5th meeting .   We can also use your attendance at the Card Party on March 14th.

May 2nd is not that far away.  That is the date of our Semi-Annual Food and Tag Sale.  Mark your calendar and plan on making something for the sale.  The Sale runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.   All assistance will be most welcome.
