MARCH 3, 2015 -- Continuing with our series of programs on Healthy Living, we enjoyed hosting and presenting three fabulous seminars on Cheesemaking, Keeping Backyard Chickens and Beekeeping. Following our Cheesemaking program we welcomed into membership Gena and Michael Greer. Many thanks to our Lecturer, John Kriz for coordinating the Beekeeping and Cheesemaking programs, and to Bil Mikulewicz for his definitive talk on Backyard Chickens. We are very fortunate to have such talented and knowledgeable group of members. Bil collaborated with the Discovery Center of Ridgefield in presenting the talk on chicken husbandry.
Following along the theme of Healthy Living, we are co-sponsoring the March 5th program on Cardiac Health with Wilton EMS at which time we will welcome Nancy Capelle to the stage who will tell her heart-wrenching story of how she survived a heart attack and cardiac arrest only days after her 40th birthday. She will detail how she made changes in lifestyle and how her family as adjusted. This will be a public program for all to clearly understand who to lead a heart-healthy life. The talk will also cover the importance of everyone knowing how to perform CPR. Both Nancy and Cannon member Don Offinger are EMT members of Wilton EMS.
It’s not too early to circle August 30th on your calendar for our annual Agricultural Fair.
Please note our meeting and event schedule. Visiting Patrons are always welcome -- won’t you join us?.
