FEBRUARY 3, 2015 -- Some very interesting and informative programs are in the works for members and guests at Cannon Grange Hall during the next few months. If you’ve ever considered having chickens, come hear Cannon member, Bil Mikulewicz describe his set up with coop design, number of birds, and how to care for them so that they flourish as egg layers or fryers. There is nothing like a fresh egg! Beekeeping as a hobby will be fully discussed by our Lecturer, John Kriz. Beekeeping is a fascinating hobby, and as we all know bees play an integral role in pollination of many agricultural crops. Come hear how to set up and plan an apiary for maximum benefit.
Nancy Capelle, a friend of Cannon Grange, will be leading our March 5th program on Cardiac Health. Nancy miraculously survived a heart attack days after her 40th birthday, after which she and her family made some courageous changes in their lifestyle. She now conducts motivational seminars on heart healthy living. You will not want to miss this program where Nancy tells her story. Anyone at any age can suffer a heart attack. Nancy and Cannon Treasurer, Don Offinger, work together as EMTs with Wilton EMS.
Our first April meeting will be a Neighbors’ Night Pot Luck Supper. Please bring a main course dish to share.
Please note our event schedule. We hope you can come to any or all of these fascinating programs. They are part of our overall program of Living Well.
