February News from Glastonbury Grange

By Kay Ruff

  FEBRUARY 3, 2015 --

As I am preparing this article for the Connecticut Granger Newspaper, it is December 28th.  We certainly have been lucky so far with no snow to have to shovel or plow.  I sure hope we don’t get a severe storm in January and/or February.

February 5th we will meet at 7:30 P.M. and the Lecturer’s Program is Love Letters.  She is thinking Valentine’s Day.  Try to attend to see what she has planned.  The refreshment committee is Dan and Ann Posuniak and Jeannine Carini.

February 14 is our monthly card party at 7:00 P.M.  Try to attend and bring a friend.  These card parties help pay our rent and other bills.  We do need support from the membership.

March 5th we will meet at 7:30 P.M. and the program is “Welcome Spring.”  The refreshments are Potluck Desserts, K. Ruff Chairman.

March 7th- Glastonbury Grange is scheduled to host East Central Pomona at Good Will Grange Hall at 43 Naubuc Ave.  Meeting is 7:30 P.M.  There are three Glastonbury members that attend Pomona on a regular basis.  We would love to see a few more of our members attending.

March 14th- Monte Carlo Whist Card Party, 7:00 P.M.

April 2nd- Meeting 7:30 P.M.  Eggs and Bunnies.  CWA Baking Contest judging and skit contest.  Refreshments:  The Grommecks & Taffy Hyppa.
