Lyme Grange November News
  NOVEMBER 25, 2014 --

At last some rain.  Our wells are low as well as our ponds and streams.

Leaves are falling fast, mostly yellow.  Where are the beautiful colors of fall?

Lyme Grange's October program was changed from “We were discovering” to “We were settled.”  A brief history of the settling of Lyme was presented by our Lecturer.  Next year, Lyme, Old Lyme, East Lyme, Hadlyme, and the southern part of Salem will be celebrating their 350th anniversary of being settled.

One third of our collection is donated to “Warm the Children.”  This year it will be about $197.  Almost enough for one child.  We keep one third for ourselves and one third is donated to Hillstown Junior Grange in two payments, one in April and one in October.

If old wive’s tales are true- winter will not set in until the wells are full.  Guess we can expect a lot more rain.

Dec. 4:  Christmas Memories, Potluck Supper at 6:30 P.M.

Dec. 6:  Our turn to donate to auction at East Central Pomona at Good Will Grange Hall.

Jan. 1:  Happy New Year, Meeting omitted.

Jan. 8:  Come and see- Surprise!  Show & tell.
