OCTOBER 1, 2014 -- National Grange notified us that we again qualified for “Distinguished Grange”. We have young people applying for various National Grange Youth offices/awards. Chris Sebastian has adjusted well to life in D.C. and our members are keeping in touch via letters and Facebook. Oct. 2nd we have “Meet the Candidates” Night at 7 p.m. between candidates for 45th District State Reps. (Stuart Norman-R and Paul Brycki-D).
The profits from our Oct. 11th supper will be donated to TALVHI for the 3rd year in a row (The American Legion VETERANS housing Inc.-home for homeless vets).
Our Halloween party is Oct. 24th-fun begins at 6 p.m.-all ages welcome. We will again be prominent in the Sterling town Halloween party--trunk a treat plus giving hayrides, helping with refreshments and story/game time. This years programs theme is “What’s Cooking”, guess it is obvious by the titles listed in coming events! Thanks to Verna Cole for painting our Grange kitchen this fall! We again had a net gain in membership at the year end. Visit us any first Monday at 7:30 p.m.
