SEPTEMBER 7, 2014 -- The busy summer season spills into fall when Winchester Grange continues its many activities. Orginally planned for First and Second Degrees, the first meeting of Sept. will be a regular meeting. We do have two potential candidates in waiting and will bring them in by Obligation when they are ready. The second meeting of the month will be the following Tuesday (Sept. 16) for the Installation of Officers by the Cameron/Barnes Installing Team.
The second annual Winchester Center Day held in conjunction with the Winchester Center Congregational Church, Winchester Vol. Fire Dept. and the Winchester Historical Assoc. will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Grange Hall, on the Green, the Church and Chapel. There will be a classic car show, demonstrations, games, and food. Admission is free. The Grange will be hosting a Craft and Gift Sale as part of the event.
Looking ahead to Oct. 3 we will be holding our fall Super Prize Party at the hall beginning at 6:00 P.M. A super prize party is a super-sized teacup auction or country store. Cards of tickets are just $1 apiece.
Mark your calendars for October 18 when Iceland Affair will return to the Grange Hall for its second year. This time is co-sponsored by the Grange and we couldn’t be happier to work with Gerri Griswold and this immensely popular event that brings Icelandic artists, writers, food and music to Winchester Center for this unique day. The hall is bursting with attendees and you will want to be one of them!
