| AUGUST 2, 2014 -- June found us busy planning our Fair and summer activities at our regular meeting and a special meeting. Also we are continuing to work scheduling fundraising activities to help with the financing of the painting of our hall’s exterior.
The Summer Songbirds Coffee House series is continuing with a number of Friday evening concerts at 8 P.M. including August 8, 29 (a dance), and Sept. 5. A suggested donation is $10 for each concert.
Come and enjoy a Barbecue Chicken Dinner at 6 P.M. on Saturday, August 9th at 6 P.M. Meal includes main course, dessert, coffee, tea or soda; ticket/donation is $20; doors open at 5:30 P.M.
The big event for August is our Fair on Saturday the 23rd from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Featured will be exhibits of flowers, fruit and vegetables; home baking and canning; arts and crafts including needlework; and special displays on history, gardening, and raising chickens. Food will be available as well as entertainment, and kid’s games. Bring in exhibits 7-9 P.M. Friday or 8-10 A.M. Saturday.
